FRIDAY, MARCH 9, BOTANICAL CENTER, 6-8, 2012 KICK-OFF PARTY/ICE CREAM SOCIAL A great way to start the year! We will discuss all the events we have planned for 2012. There will be a guest speaker, door prizes, and LOTS OF ICE CREAM! Don't miss it!
MONDAY TO FRIDAY, MARCH 12 - 16 (actual date will depend on the weather) GET THE HOSTA GARDEN READY FOR 2012 We will rake the beds, put down preen, fertilizer, and slug bait, then mulch the beds. We will need everyone's help. FREE LUNCH provided by GOHS.
SATURDAY, MARCH 31, HILLTOP FARMS, 12-2 Oscar and Amy will give us a guided, behind-the-scenes tour of their retail business. Learn how they sell some of the best hostas and perennials in southwest Missouri.
SATURDAY, APRIL 21, BOTANICAL CENTER WORKSHOP/LAB, 9 - 12, HOSTA DIVIDING SEMINAR AND PLANT SALE. Open to the public! A very popular event. We'll show how to properly divide and care for hostas. We will also have some nice hostas to sell.
TUESDAY TO FRIDAY, MAY 1 - 4 (actual date will depend on weather), HOSTA GARDEN, 8 -12, PLANTING DAY We'll add hostas and plant all our annuals. Should be a wonderful day in the garden. Invite friends. BRING shovels, trowels, bulb planters, and knee pads.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, HILLTOP FARMS, 10 - 12 Come out to tour one of the largest and most beautiful hosta gardens in the Midwest. Truly a sight to behold. WEATHER DATE, THURSDAY, MAY 31.

MONDAY, JUNE 11, SHAW BOTANICAL GARDENS IN ST. LOUIS. 7 - 7 Join us for a wonderful day trip to one of the premier botanical gardens in the U.S. If you've never been, you will love it; if you have been, you will want to go back. This should be fun! Details to come. WEATHER DATE JUNE 13.
SATURDAY, JUNE 30, HOSTA GARDEN, 10 - 1 POT LUCK PICNIC The garden will be beautiful and very shady. A nice way to make new friends and relax. Last name A-M bring salad, N-Z bring dessert.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, BOTANICAL CENTER, 3 - 6 , HOSTA, PLANT AUCTION, AND SWEETS TABLE A good time will be had by everyone! Members and member vendors will bring hostas and other plants for a lively auction by our favorite auctioneer, Lee Coates. Add lovely plants to your garden, and contribute to our treasury at the same time. BRING plants (if possible) and a dessert. ALTERNATE DATE, SATURDAY, AUGUST 4.
